Matt Healy and The 1975 play The Fillmore Detroit May 22.
The 1975 will hit the road in January for a U.K. arena tour that includes a Jan. 18 show at London’s The O2 Arena, with support acts Pale Waves and No Rome.
The tour will also hit Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff, Brighton, Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield, starting Jan. 9 at the SSE Arena in Belfast and ending Jan. 25 at the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield.
The tour announcement anticipates the release of the band’s third album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, which will be released on Nov. 30.  Three singles, “Give Yourself a Try,” “TooTimeTooTimeTooTime” and “Love It If We Made It,” have already been made available from the disc.
Lead singer Matty Healy told NME, “Our first three albums are the story of a person; it’s always kind of been my story. It spanned adolescence to maturity, success and trying to mediate the two, and the third one is where we are now. I haven’t really decided the statement of where we are now yet. It’s sort of difficult to understand the present.”
