Sebastian Maniscalco Is Hungry For More Tour Dates

Sebastian Maniscalco performs to a sold-out crowd at Air Canada Centre in Toronto March 1, 2018.
Sebastian Maniscalco is extending his “Stay Hungry” tour, with more than 30 performances planned for 2019. The new gigs go along with his previously announced four-show run at New York’s Madison Square Garden Arena – three of which have already sold out.
Maniscalco’s “Stay Hungry” tour shares its name with his first book, which was released in February. The paperback version of the book will be available Nov. 13.
His 2019 travels kick off with two nights in the Pacific Northwest – Jan. 11 at Portland’s Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and Jan. 12 at Seattle’s Moore Theatre. Dates are booked through May, concluding with a May 18 show at the Celebrity Theatre In Phoenix, Ariz. His residency at the Garden takes place Jan. 19-20, with performances at 7 and 10 p.m. each night. Three of the four MSG gigs have already sold out and there’s a very good chance the comedian has more sell-outs in his future.
Maniscalco was featured on the cover of Pollstar as a rising “Hotstar” in early 2016 and his career has continued to grow ever since. He ranked No. 10 on Forbes’ 2017 list of the world’s highest-paid comedians and he’s set to receive Billboard’s inaugural Comedian of the Year award in November.
His reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice for 2018 include plenty of sold-out gigs, most notably a five-night Radio City Music Hall residency that grossed nearly $3.4 million with a total of 27,941 tickets.
A review of the tour from the Chicago Tribune explains that Maniscalco’s set “in its current incarnation focuses much more on how just maybe his own neuroses play a part in his – often hilarious – frustration with the way things work. … It’s only a slight change of focus – from ‘everyone around me is an idiot’ to ‘I was raised to think that everyone around me is an idiot’ – but it’s a big step toward evolving his routine and it makes a difference in how certain bits play out.”
Tickets and VIP packages go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 19 at 10:00 am. All times local.
Tune in to ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Nov. 5 to catch Maniscalco chatting about the tour. His 2019 plans also include a role in Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” and a new Netflix special early in the year.
