Los Angeles Stadium & Entertainment District Adds Four New Execs
Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park (LASED), the company overseeing the transformation of Hollywood Park Racetrack into a 70,240-capacity Inglewood, Calif., stadium to be the home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, has added four executives it announced Oct. 22.
Christy Castillo Butcher is senior VP of programming; Kameron Durham is VP of guest experience; Skarpi Hedinsson is the new CTO; and Joe Sesin is VP of finance and accounting.
LASED is being financed by E. Stanley Kroenke, the owner of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and owner of the Los Angeles Rams among other teams.
“As part of Mr. Kroenke’s vision for this global sports and entertainment destination, we are assembling a dedicated organization of talented individuals,“ LASED Managing Director Jason Gannon said in a statement. “To that end, we are thrilled to welcome Christy, Kameron, Skarpi and Joe to our team. Each brings a unique expertise that will help us deliver an unparalleled experience for all who visit Hollywood Park.”
Butcher has vacated her position as SVP of booking and events for Staples Center and Microsoft Theater in LA for her new role.
Kameron Durham has worked with the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners.
Skarpi Hedinsson has been CTO for the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams since 2017, Joe Sesin was previously a VP at JP Morgan.
More than 1.5 million square feet of retail and office space adjacent to the venue, 2,500 residences and 20 acres of parks are all being anticipated to be installed next to the venue.
The City of Inglewood last year entered into an exclusive negotiating contract with a company held by the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers to construct a new arena in the area, though that contract provoked backlash from both local residents and the Forum.
The stadium will host Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the College Football National Championship in 2023, and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic Games.
