Blake Shelton Hits The Road With Some Friends & Heroes
Ollie Corbett – Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton plays CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, La., March 6.
Blake Shelton is taking a break from coaching duties from NBC’s “The Voice” to mount a winter tour with some “Friends & Heroes” — Lauren Alaina and special appearances from Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins.
The outing will kick off Feb. 14 at Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., and span 18 dates through March 23 at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. In between, the tour will make stops in mostly secondary market arenas and a few major markets including Kansas City, Mo.; Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Saint Paul.
Friends & Heroes will also stop for two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
“I’m really excited about my tour because it’s taking where I came from and the music I listened to growing up, and actually introducing it to a whole new audience,” Shelton said in a statement. “I feel like a lot of people might know the Bellamy Brothers’ and John Anderson’s music, but maybe they’re not familiar with who they are as artists. I think that this is going to be a great opportunity for the country music fan base to be re-introduced to these guys and, selfishly, I’m just excited to share the stage with them! It’ll be great to have Trace back out on the road with us, and I can’t wait for one of my newer friends and heroes, Lauren Alaina, to blow these crowds away.”
Over the last three years, when he hasn’t been on duty at “The Voice,” Shelton has hit the road, averaging 12,778 tickets sold per show for an average gross of $843,674 as reported to Pollstar.
Tickets and VIP experiences for “Friends & Heroes 2019” will go on sale Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. local times. Blake Shelton Fan Club members and American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Friday at 10 a.m. local through Thursday, Nov. 8 at 10 p.m. local.
