SoCal Amphitheatre Renamed In Deal With North Island Credit Union

Mattress Firm Amphitheatre – North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre
Live Nation’s 19,442-capacity amphitheater in Chula Vista, Calif., previously known as Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, will now be known as North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre, the company announced Nov. 1. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“As we were exploring new avenues to support our community, bring more benefits to our members, and extend our brand awareness, the incredible opportunity to partner with Live Nation at this local venue proved to be a natural fit for both of our brands. North Island Credit Union’s vision for our member experience aligned seamlessly with Live Nation’s commitment to the fan experience,” said California Credit Union President/CEO Steve O’Connell. “Together, we will combine our resources to bring a truly unique Southern California concert experience to North Island Credit Union members and all fans.  We think fans will be excited about all that North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre will have to offer when the new season kicks off.”

Owned and operated by Live Nation, North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre hosts more than 30 concerts every year and boasts more than 300,000 visitors a year.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Puth, Rebelution, G-Eazy and Lil Uzi Vert, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and Lynyrd Skynyrd were just a few of the artists to play the venue this year.

Some of the reported box office highlights in 2018 have been Dead & Company ($1.1 million grossed); “TDE: The Champsionship Tour” featuring Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock ($929,125 grossed); and Luis Miguel ($1.3 million grossed).
