Tom Taaffe And Anna Bewers Join CODA from UTA In The UK

Only one of them is joining CODA

Tom Taaffe, formerly at The Agency Group since 2010, which was acquired by UTA in 2015, and Anna Bewers, who was with The Agency Group/UTA since 2006, have joined CODA Agency in London, UK.

Taaffe’s speciality is rock, indie, metal and Americana. Artists he’s represented include While She Sleeps, Julien Baker, The Menzingers, Amos Lee and more.

Bewers, who started out at UTA as assistant and was promoted to agent in 2013, has been developing artists including from the grassroots level up to arenas. She’s worked with Nothing But Thieves, State Champs, SWMRS, and Cavetown, among others.

Pollstar was told their roster at CODA is still to be confirmed.

Taaffe said: “I’m excited at the idea of growing my roster with this company and learning off some of the very best agents that work in this business today. CODA has a great reputation for discovering and growing what is current in every genre.”

Bewers said: “I’m thrilled to be joining CODA Agency and to start the next phase of my career. The agency has a reputation for signing the hottest artists and I’m excited to work with some of the most innovative and dynamic agents in the business.”

CODA also made a number of internal promotions, including promoting Andy Clayton and Ryan Penty to agents, who have been with CODA since 2009 and 2011 respectively. They were both Bookers for partner Agent Alex Hardee, and will become Agents as of January 2019.

As a result of these promotions, two new Bookers join Alex Hardee’s team, Holly Rowland and Eleanor Ashley, who have been promoted from working as Agent Assistants within CODA. Rebecca Bates, has also been promoted to Booker for Mike Malak, who was his Assistant previously.
