Andrea Bocelli, arguably the world’s most acclaimed operatic tenor, is bringing his blockbuster show to western U.S. cities in June, following  his first album of all-new material since 2004, the top-selling Si.

The tour launches at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., on June 15. He’ll follow that with two nights at the historic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and close out the run at Denver’s Pepsi Center June 21. Presales for all dates go on sale Dec. 3.

The Sacramento and Denver appearances will be Bocelli’s first in five years.

Each performance will feature a unique repertoire from Bocelli’s landmark release Si, his first ever chart-topping album on the Billboard 200 chart.  The world-renowned tenor will also treat audiences to his beloved traditional selection of arias, love songs and crossover hits. The Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera and the Colorado Symphony will join Bocelli at their respective dates and longtime conductor, Eugene Kohn, will accompany Andrea for each stop on the tour.

“I was deeply moved by such a strong, unequivocal expression of affection from a great country that loved me from the start, and which, after a period of more than 20 years, I now consider my second homeland,” Bocelli told Pollstar in an exclusive interview. “I am proud to represent, once again, a small portion of the sound of the lives of many people, communicating a message of optimism, hope and love, which are the values that inspire the album.”

Previous shows in the tour cycle have included a bundling of Si in the ticket package, and stops have featured contemporary guest performers including his son, Matteo, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, and Josh Groban.

Co-manager Scott Rodger recently explained in an interview with Pollstar the appeal of Bocelli’s live concerts. “Andrea has a huge live audience. He doesn’t tour extensively but does an average around 12 to 16 shows per year in the U.S. spread throughout the year. I think people like events and Andrea’s shows are incredibly special events. Andrea’s voice is the driver here, not the orchestra or the spectacle itself. I’m sure that classical music could have new and up and coming stars that could one day tour on a large scale, but for now Andrea is in a league of his own and unmatched in his genre.
