Brett Dennen announced the third annual edition of his Lift Series Tour on Friday. The singer-songwriter will play small theaters in the western United States come January, performing six shows across Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Nevada.
“I will be playing shows and skiing in some of my favorite mountain towns in the western states,” Dennen said in a statement. “This year I have chosen to focus the tour around resorts that honor the Ikon Pass because I believe these resorts are providing affordable access to the absolute best skiing while maintaining and supporting the integrity of each mountain whether big or small.”
Ikon Pass is a season pass service that allows subscribers unlimited access to acclaimed ski resorts including Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, Steamboat, and Winter Park. Ikon users also enjoy limited access with no blackouts at ski resorts in North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.
Dennen’s six Lift Series Tour dates are down from 2017 and 2018, when his itineraries consisted of eight and nine shows, respectively. He’ll play familiar haunts, including a third consecutive gig at Aspen, Colo.’s Belly Up and 2018 stops such as Rialto Theatre in Bozeman, Mont. and the Crown Room at Crystal Bay Club in Crystal Bay, Nevada. For his stop in Winter Park, Colo., Dennen will play another venue, switching from Smokin’ Moe’s to Headwater Center.
He’ll also return to Boulder, Colo.’s Boulder Theater, where he sold 754 tickets for a gross of $17,908 in 2018.
Though Dennen’s most recent full-length is 2016’s Por Favor, but earlier this year he released the Here’s Looking At You Kid EP. The Lift Series Tour is the counterpart to Dennen’s Vacationer Series Tour, an annual jaunt that also began in 2017 and takes the musician to East Coast towns such as Woodstock, N.Y. and Portsmouth, N.H. Earlier this year, Dennen opened for Jason Mraz on his Good Vibes tour. In May, Dennen’s agent Andrew Colvin joined WME.
