Paul McCartney has added dates to his Freshen Up tour, which hits the U.S. in May 2019. Macca will now play shows at Green Bay, Wisconsin’s Lambeau Field; Arlington (June 8), Texas’ Globe Life Park (June 14); San Diego’s Petco Park (June 22) and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium (July 13).
McCartney last played Dodger Stadium in 2014, selling 52,605 tickets for a gross of $5.21 million. He played Petco Park the following month, selling 45,352 tickets for a gross of $4.97 million.
The gigs round out a schedule that also includes stops in New Orleans; Raleigh, North Carolina; Lexington, Kentucky and Fort Wayne, Indiana. The U.S. leg of McCartney’s tour now comprises 12 shows, with the iconic rocker also hitting four South American cities in March to bring his total number of announced 2019 dates to 16.
The ever-bankable musician continues to be a heavy presence on the road, augmenting the September release of his 17th solo album, Egypt Station, with more than 30 concerts in 2018, including headlining sets at both weekends of the Austin City Limits festival. And he isn’t done yet: McCartney has dates set for Vienna, Liverpool, Glasgow and London before the month ends.
McCartney’s tours are also among the most lucrative in the business, grossing $110.6 million and $132 million worldwide in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
Tickets for McCartney’s Green Bay show go on sale Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. local time, while the other just-announced shows go on sale Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. local time.
