Cher Adds European ‘Here We Go Again’ Tour Dates
Cher has added 17 European dates to the “Here We Go Again” tour, which kicks off in the U.S. in January. It marks her first return to mainland Europe and the UK in 14 years.
The U.S. leg kicks off Jan. 17 at Hertz Arena in Ft. Myers, FL, and ends May 18 at the XCEL Energy Center in Saint Paul, MN. It includes a ten-date residency at the Park Theater At Park MGM in las Vegas, NV, as well as two Canada shows in Toronto and Ottawa, Apr. 22-24.
The European leg commences Sept. 26, at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, and ends Nov. 1 at 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The entire list of European “Here We Go Again” dates can be found below. It includes markets Cher hasn’t performed live in for more than 14 years.
Cher said the UK in particular was her “second home”.
“I’m very excited to bring this show to the UK. It was the first country to embrace Sonny & Cher, and its where we created and had our first success with ‘Believe’,” she recalled.
Cher’s last full-fledged tour, in 2014 and with Cyndi Lauper in support, spanned 49 sold-out dates in four months, moving 608,435 tickets and grossing $545,78,237.
The iconic singer joined Pollstar‘s concert pulse this week, after submitting reports in time for the year-end charts. She is averaging $1.5 million grossed in eight market appearances. Her shows in the last three months include residency gigs at Park Theater At Park MGM Las Vegas and Theater At MGM National Harbor and dates in Australia and New Zealand.
Cher also featured heavily in Pollstar‘s recent Box Office Insider, where we explored the marriage between a musical artist and critically acclaimed film work.
