Shaky Beats Music Festival, the electronic-themed sister festival of Shaky Knees, will return to Atlanta’s Central Park this May with a bill topped by Martin Garrix and Rüfüs Du Sol, promoters announced Tuesday.
Slated for May 10 and 11, the festival, now in its fourth year, has notably scaled back from a three-day to a two-day event.
Other noteworthy acts on the bill include Big Gigantic, Fisher, San Holo, Big Wild, Boogie T, Chris Lake, Ekali, Gryffin, Lane 8, Party Favor, Snakehips and What So Not.
Even as EDM recedes from its commercial peak earlier this decade, Martin Garrix remains a consistent draw. In May 2017, the now-22-year-old producer packed three consecutive nights at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, selling 22,854 tickets for a total gross of $1.13 million. He also opened for Justin Bieber on the Oceania leg of the pop star’s 2017 tour. His Shaky Beats booking joins a North American 2019 itinerary that already includes February gigs in Las Vegas; Park City, Utah and Scottsdale, Arizona.
Shaky Beats is Rüfüs Du Sol’s second announced North American booking of 2019, following high placement on Coachella’s bill, announced last week. The Australian dance music trio has proven their mettle recently, including with a successful sell-out gig at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium that sold 8,500 tickets for a gross of $382,000.
Kygo, Marshmello and Zedd headlined Shaky Beats 2018.
The Shaky Beats announcement comes amidst a busy several days for the 2019 festival slate. Since New Year’s, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball and BottleRock have all shared their lineups.
General admission and VIP two-day passes go on sale January 9 at 10 a.m. and retail for $129 and $412, respectively. See the full lineup below.
