Ohio-based Prime Social Group has quickly established itself as a major festival producer, focusing mainly on under-served college markets with its Prime and Breakaway festival brands, with around 20 festival properties including overseas Spring Break-type events in Barcelona, Florence and Prague, as well as the newly debuted blockchain-powered OMF – Our Music Festival in the San Francisco Bay Area.
“We’ve been lucky enough that a lot of the agents and agencies we’ve developed relationships with understand the markets we’re in and they relay that to their clients,” Ruben said. “They say you should go do this show in Lansing for maybe 25 percent or 30 percent less than you normally play in the market for, because it’s Lansing – it’s not Detroit, or Grand Rapids, and definitely not Chicago.”
In September PSG announced a new Nashville office with a new in-house agency called Prime Brands focusing on sponsorships and brand relationships across its festival properties.
