Banc of California Stadium named Steve Tadlock as Executive Vice President and General Manager on Monday.

Tadlock most recently served as Regional VP — Stadiums, Arenas and Theaters at SMG, capping an 18-year tenure with the venue management company.

“World class facilities deserve world class management,” said Adam Friedman, President of Banc of California Stadium Entertainment and EVP of LAFC Sports, LLC, in a press release announcing the news. “Steve is known throughout the entertainment and sports industries as a leader in the management and operation of large entertainment properties.

“He not only deploys best practices, but creates them as an innovator in the space,” Friedman continued. “He is equally well versed in both programming and operations and is a perfect fit for the role as we continue with our launch of the venue with a robust schedule of premium events.”

In the release, Tadlock praised the fledgling stadium’s versatile design and diverse programming. “I’m honored and greatly excited to be joining this team, utilizing my industry experience to help make BOCS the venue of choice for artists, producers/promoters, and fans alike,” he said. Tadlock also promised that the venue would continue to court programming in the music, sports, and branded events spheres.

Friedman added that Otto Benedict will continue to serve as SVP, Facility Operations for BOCS, reporting to and working in collaboration with Tadlock.

The release touted Tadlock’s numerous accomplishments, including his role in securing the management contract and overseeing transitional operations at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Tadlock also served as General Manager of Fresno, Calif.’s Save Mart Center, leading the venue to be ranked as the best collegiate facility seven times in Pollstar.

Banc of California has continued to expand its programming and staff since opening in April 2018. In December, Brian Smith and Cori Gadbury joined the company as Event Director and VP of Marketing, respectively, and earlier this month, Jill Przelenski was named Vice President, Special Event Sales.
