Bryan Ferry To Tour North America As Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Member-Elect
John Davisson – Bryan Ferry
Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Empire Polo Field, Indio, Calif.
Bryan Ferry, a British music icon and soon to be inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, will hit the U.S. in 2019 playing songs from Avalon, solo & Roxy Music hits.
The tour will begin July 30 in Toronto, Ontario, and travel across cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas before concluding September 5 in Vancouver, B.C.
Ferry will hit mostly theaters including the Chicago Theatre, Detroit’s Fox Theatre, The Met in Philadelphia, The Anthem in Washington, D.C., Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
Over the last three years, Ferry has been a road warrior, earning more than $6.4 million by averaging 2,118 tickets sold per show for a box office average of $145,580, according to Pollstar data.
Since the release of his first record with Roxy Music in 1972, Ferry has been internationally acclaimed as one of the most innovative and stylish musicians, songwriters and singers to emerge in pop and rock music. Widely regarded as the embodiment of the glamorous and romantic worlds evoked by his songs, Ferry is also lauded as an icon of sartorial and personal cool.
Ferry, a fine art student in his school days, remains as involved in the visual aspects of his work as he is in the composition and performance of the music and has conceived and directed some of the most original, controversial and critically applauded album artwork of the last four decades.
Tickets go on sale starting Friday, January 18 at 10 am via Ticketmaster.
