Killers, Kid Rock, Sting Top KAABOO Texas Debut Lineup

KAABOO Texas is going all out for its first edition in the the Lone Star State in May with a lineup featuring The Killers, Kid Rock, Sting, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Big Town, The Avett Brothers, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Pitbull, Counting Crows, Alanis Morissette, Ludacris and more. 

The party is going down May 10-12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. 

“We’re very particular about not booking the flavor du jour acts that are doing every festival across the country,” Madison Entertainment’s Roger LeBlanc, talent buyer for the KAABOO events, told Pollstar previously. “The festivals that succeed have a reason and a purpose. Even though our lineups tend to be very diverse as far as era and genre, we still have a connectivity.”

The festival promises an “immersive experience for all five sense” with art exhibits at Artwork, comedians like Dennis Miller and Brad Garrett at the Humor Me comedy stage, and culinary and craft beverages at Palate. Fans looking for some R&R can purchase a cabana or day pass to BASK Day + Night Club, KAABOO’s Las Vegas-style pool club. The club will offer poolside DJ performances from the likes of Cash Cash, Chromeo, Le Youth, Paul Oakenfold, and more.

The festival is organized in collaboration with The Jerry Jones Family, owners of the Dallas Cowboys – marking the first time a multi-day, music and lifestyle event has collaborated with an NFL group.

Festival passes are on sale now, starting at $299. A limited quantity of Blue Star and Rockstar VIP passes are also available. Prices will go up once the tier runs out. 

KAABOO Texas is celebrating the lineup release with a party at Halcyon Coffee Bar in Dallas tonight (5 to 8 p.m. CT) with a performance from Rhett Miller of the Old 97’s, while artist Amandalynn will live-paint a wall mural. The shindig is free and open to the public. 

 

KAABOO’s flagship event, KAABOO Del Mar, is scheduled Sept. 13-15 at the Del Mar Racetrack and fairgrounds near San Diego.

The inaugural KAABOO Cayman festival takes place in February.
