Police Respond To Shooting Outside Concert Venue In Norway

Shots were fired outside Eventhallen in Oslo, Norway, Jan. 19, during a performance by UK rapper Geko. Oslo Police said the shooting was unrelated to the concert.

“A young man was slightly injured in his leg,” a spokesperson for the Oslo Police department told Pollstar. “It’s too early to determine the motive of the crime, but the investigation have shown that the presumed shooter knew the victim.”

Police arrested a young man near the scene of the incident, shortly after the shots were fired outside the music venue. “The man is charged with attempted homicide. He was yesterday given four weeks in custody by the court while the police is continuing the investigation,” the spokesperson said.
