The recently re-opened super-club Armory in Minneapolis has added Andy Warg as VP of Entertainment, replacing Beecher Vaillancourt III, who is leaving to spend more time with family.

Warg has been head of booking at Target Center since 2004,  and prior to that he toured with “Sesame Street Live!,” has managed Broadway Show tours, and oversaw operations at the State Theatre, Orpheum Theatre and Pantages Theatre In Minnesota. He has also co-produced the Snowta NYE, Safe in Sound and Zombie Pub Crawl festivals.

“Andy knows this business and this community like no one else in the Twin Cities,” said Ned Abdul, President and CEO of Swervo Development which owns The Armory. “There are north of two million people living in the Twin Cities; Andy is the person in this community we most wanted to add to our team and we’re delighted we’ve succeeded in that effort.”

The 8,504-capacity Armory re-opened in 2018 in tandem with Minneapolis hosting the Super Bowl. The venue recently tapped Live Nation for “booking and programming support.”

A highlight of last year’s reports was a Rise Against show that grossed $893,320 off 3,167 tickets Sept. 6. Other shows that topped $300,000 included Beck, Deadmau5, and Jack White.
