Zac Brown Band Plots ‘The Owl Tour’

The tour kicks off May 25 in Indianapolis’ Indy 500 “Legends Day,” after which the tour is mostly sheds and festivals. The routing include two-night stands at Bank of New Hamphishire Pavilion in Gilford, N.H., June 7-8; P.N.C. Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. June 22-23; Five Point Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif., 25-26; Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., Aug. 23-24; BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J., Sept. 6-7; and West Palm Beach, Fla.’s Oct. 18-19.

The tour will be linked with the latest ZBB album, which will draw inspiration from the “mythology and mystery surrounding the Great Horned Owl that can see perfectly at night, serving as a guide when we need sight in even the darkest of moments.” The first single, “Someone I Use To Know,” is available now.

Brown co-owns DemerBox, which is a sponsor of the tour, and will be providing charging stations at every stop of the tour. DemerBox is a part of Brown’s entertainment and lifestyle company Zac Brown Collective.

Brown last put on the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, S.C., in 2016. The band had to cancel the 2017 edition and promised a 2018 event, but that never materialized. It doesn’t look like 2019 is in the cards either.

Zac Brown Band opened for the Eagles last year, and also reported a ton of headline dates. Highlights included grosses of more than $1 million at Safeco Field in Seattle; Target Field in Minneapolis, Minn.; Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.; Comerica Park in Detroit; and the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
