Mike Krewson Named GM Of Sioux Falls Venues

SMG has hired Mike Krewson as the general manager of Sioux Falls, S.D’s Orpheum Theater Center, Sioux Falls Stadium, and the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, which includes the PREMIER Center, Convention Center and Arena.

Krewson has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and was most recently the GM of the SMG-managed McLane Stadium at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. His responsibilities at the venue included booking, stadium management and budgeting. His resume also includes the director of touring for TNA Wrestling in Nashville; the assistant GM of the DeSoto Civic Center in Texas; and event manager of the North Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina and The Pyramid Arena in Memphis.

“Mike has the experience and drive to keep building on the success we’ve enjoyed at our event venues,” Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken said in a statement. “We look forward to a continued strong partnership with SMG and to Mike’s leadership in moving our facilities and campus forward.:

Upcoming shows at The Danny Sanford PREMIER Center include Blake Shelton, James Taylor & Bonnie Raitt, Dierks Bentley, KISS, Casting Crowns, Cher, and Kenny Chesney. 

The venue, which opened in September 2014, boasted sold-out shows in 2018 from Metallica ($1.49 million gross); Journey/Def Leppard ($973,747 gross) and Tim McGraw/Faith Hill ($695,622 gross).
