McWaters, Edwards Made Agents At APA

In the latest of a slew of promotions, APA has added Megan McWaters and Katie Edwards to its comedy department. McWaters will be working out of Los Angeles, and Edwards is based in New York.

“We’re very pleased to have Megan and Katie join our comedy team,” APA co-heads of Comedy, Jackie Knobbe and Max Burgos said in a statement. “Their talent and creativity will be a great asset to our growing roster as we continue to expand our footprint in the evolving comedy landscape.”

McWaters joined APA as an assistant to Jackie Knobbe after college. Edwards spent several years at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

APA’s comedy clients include Tiffany Haddish, Billy Gardell, Dulcé Sloan, Eddie Izzard, Kathy Griffin, Leslie Jones, Lewis Black, Paula Poundstone, and Ronny Chieng.

Other recent moves at APA include the promotion of Brooke Ivey at APA Nashville yesterday and Travis Wolfe being named vice president last week. Wolfe oversaw the music and comedy rosters for corporate and special events.
