TAIT, the visionary live event solutions company behind the tours of some of the world’s biggest acts, has received investment from Providence Equity Partners.
TAIT CEO and president James “Winky” Fairorth and CCO Adam Davis will remain significant shareholders alongside Providence. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
TAIT has been providing advanced creative and engineering solutions to the live entertainment industry since 1978, and has established itself as the world’s market leader in designing, constructing and delivering live event solutions.
One of the few companies of scale that provide an end-to-end solution – from designing to construction, manufacturing and operating custom-built concert touring and permanent installations – TAIT has worked on 17 of the top 20 highest grossing concert tours of all time. 
Its client base includes The Rolling Stones, U2, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Disney, Universal, Cirque du Soleil and Nike. TAIT also brought Metallica’s vision for its “Worldwired” tour into life. 
TAIT’s IP portfolio includes more than 80 patents in technology and design. 
Providence has been investing in several live events companies over the years, including Ambassador Theatre Group, Learfield, Major League Soccer, Superstruct, Topgolf, Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network, European Media Partnership and the World Triathlon Corporation.
