The Madison Square Garden Company and secure identity company CLEAR have partnered to offer fans fast, easy access to sporting events and concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York, which becomes the 14th venue in CLEAR’s network.
CLEAR members can expedite entry into MSG through a dedicated CLEAR lane where, after the touch of a finger, guests enter MSG for a one-time physical screening that combines a person’s identification and biometrics into a single CLEAR ID.
“We are pleased to welcome CLEAR into the Madison Square Garden family,” said Ron Skotarczak, executive vice president of marketing partnerships at The Madison Square Garden Company. “Like MSG, CLEAR is committed to enhancing the customer experience – and we look forward to providing CLEAR’s growing membership with unforgettable Garden memories.”
CLEAR is used at 40 U.S. airports and sports venues, with the slogan “your eyes and fingertips get you through security faster at airports and stadiums” such as Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Comerica Park in Detroit, Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif., and Yankee Stadium and Citi Field in New York among others.
CLEAR is certified as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
“Launching at MSG represents a major milestone for CLEAR, and we look forward to making our members’ experience there more efficient, easier and more predictable so they don’t miss out on what they came to see,” CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker said in a statement. “By adding The Garden to our growing New York City ecosystem, CLEAR members can now enjoy frictionless experiences at three iconic sports and entertainment venues and three key local-area airports with one biometric ID.”
In select cities, members can also buy food and drinks and simultaneously prove they are of legal age for alcohol purchases and enter baseball stadiums without having to show a paper or mobile ticket.
The Madison Square Garden Company presents or hosts events in other venues including Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre; the Forum in Inglewood, CA; and The Chicago Theatre.
Madison Square Garden is affiliated with the Azoff Company, led by Pollstar parent company Oak View Group co-founder Irving Azoff.
