Ben Folds and Violent Femmes announced a summer co-headlining tour on Monday.

The alt-rockers will begin the brief jaunt on July 28 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The tour will conclude Aug. 16 at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, Mo., hitting stops including New York City, Boston, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Minneapolis along the way.

The will take Folds to two of the venues he co-headlined with Cake on their tour together last summer. On Aug. 21, the two acts sold 4,392 tickets at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater for a gross of $161,775; on Aug. 25, they sold 5,676 tickets at Indianapolis’ Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park for a gross of $249,542.

In 2018, Folds also scored a coveted spot opening for Billy Joel at the legendary musician’s July 27 show at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park.

Violent Femmes are no strangers to co-headlining tours. In 2017 and 2018, they toured with Echo & The Bunnymen, and this spring they’ll hit the road with X.

Like Folds, the tour will route Violent Femmes through venues they’ve recently played. On July 15, 2017, Violent Femmes and Echo & the Bunnymen co-headlined Boston’s Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion, selling 4,214 tickets and grossing $155,667. Two nights later, they played Pittsburgh’s Stage AE, selling 2,239 tickets and grossing $84,508. And last July, the two acts played Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem, selling 4,426 tickets and grossing $252,530.

Tickets for the Ben Fold and Violent Femmes’ co-headlining tour go on sale to the general public on March 8 at 10 a.m. local time, excluding the Kansas City date, which goes on sale on March 11 at 10 a.m. CST. VIP packages for the dates include a meet and greet with Folds and a signed copy of his forthcoming memoir “A Dream About Lightning Bugs: A Life of Music and Cheap Lessons.”
