My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James and The Claypool Lennon Delirium are aligning for a co-headline tour of North America in June and July.

The routing is a mix of clubs, sheds and theatres, and seven of them are on the West Coast. Things kick off at Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City June 21 and then there is Kettle House Amphitheater in Bonner, Mont., June 22.  After that is the West Coast dates, from Seattle to Portland to three Southern California dates.

A presale for these tix begins March 6 and the general onsale begins March 8.

The Lennon Claypool Delirium – the joint project of Sean Lennon (son of John Lennon) and Les Claypool – also has solo dates in the regional Northeast and South planned throughout April, starting April 10 in Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. The band is promoting tunes from its just released album South Of Reality.

Jim James also has a number of solo shows planned in May, including gigs at marquee clubs like First Avenue in Minneapolis and 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. This music will include amplified versions of his music, in theme with the versions on his Uniform Distortion album, as opposed to the acoustic versions on Uniform Clarity.

In addition to having graced the cover of Pollstar last year, Jim James spoke at Pollstar Live! 2019 on a subject close to his heart: promoting voting and social engagement. He said at the conference: “You hear about people being afraid to lose fans or being afraid to stand up and speak their truth.”

“We gotta get past that. I think that day and age is over. We all gotta stand up and speak out for what we believe is right, but always do it with love. I’m just so tired of all the hatred we see every day from all over the place.”
