Andrea Bocelli Lines Up U.S. Arenas
It’s time to say hello to Andrea Bocelli, because he is bringing his golden voice to arenas throughout the U.S.
The run will begin at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the new 18,064-capacity home of the Golden State Warriors set to open later this year. The Chase Center also unveiled Metallica and Dave Matthews Band shows in its initial music programming schedule, which continues to grow.
After Chase Center, the plan is to head to Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena and continue throughout the U.S. in December, wrapping with two nights at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York Dec. 18-19.
Tickets to the Chase Center go on sale April 15, and the rest of the shows go on sale April 1.
Bocelli is partnering with Plus1, meaning $1 of every ticket will go to charity, in this case the “Voices of Haiti” project.
Andrea Bocelli’s last album, Sí, rose to the top of sales charts around the U.S. last year. The subject of a cover feature last year, he told Pollstar, “I am proud to represent, once again, a small portion of the sound of the lives of many people, communicating a message of optimism, hope and love, which are the values that inspire the album.”
His numbers are big time, having grossed $5.7 million on 29,491 tickets in his last two-night stand at Madison Square Garden Dec. 12-13. The hefty grosses comes from his ticket price, which ran from $80 to $395 last year.
