Diplo’s Mad Decent Festival At Gillette Stadium: Billie Eilish, Major Lazer, G-Eazy, Miguel
Diplo has brought back the Mad Decent Block Party, sort of, with the Super Mega Ultra Giant Mad Decent Block Party Festival July 20-21 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., with a bill featuring Billie Eilish, Major Lazer, G-Eazy, Miguel, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Dillon Francis, Rezz and many more.
The event, taking place at the home of the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, will feature the world’s loudest bounce house, go-karts, paintball and more.
Parking is included with tickets, which are available in multiple tiers including VIP packages that grant expedited entry, access to VIP lounges that include VIP bar, private restrooms, charging stations, bottle service options and more.
Joining forces with boutique festival producer Synergy Global Entertainment, partners on the MDBP Fest include Rockstar Energy, Monaco Cocktail, Ciroq, Bulleit and others.
SGE CEO John Reese and COO Heather Vantress recently told Pollstar it would live five or six new events in 2019, while some of its 30-something events would branch to multiple cities and a full summer tour was just announced in the Rockstar DISRUPT Festival featuring The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41 and others for 20-plus amphitheatre days this summer.
Headlining the Mad Decent festival is Billie Eilish, whose new album just dropped and seems poised for touring stardom, with Coachella releasing special tickets specifically for her fans and striking a chord with fans in more ways than one.
“She will ask fans at every show, ‘Who here hates themselves?’” said Paradigm Talent Agency’s Sara Bollwinkel who represents Eilish along with fellow agent Tom Windish. “It kind of freaks out the adults out in the room, but there’s all this applause and cheering and then she launches into ‘I’m here because of you guys, I’m here because you saved me.’
