Exit 111 debuts this October in Manchester, Tenn.
C3 Presents and AC Entertainment, the promoters behind Bonnaroo, announced the lineup for new hard-rock festival Exit 111 on Tuesday.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard and Guns N’ Roses will headline the inaugural Exit 111, which occurs Oct. 11-13 at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tenn. – the same site as Bonnaroo – and takes its name from the Interstate 24 exit attendees take to reach the festival grounds.
According to a press release, Exit 111 is the first event besides Bonnaroo to take place on the 700-plus-acre farm.
Other booked acts include Megadeth, ZZ Top, Ghost, Mastodon, Deftones, Coheed and Cambria, Lamb of God, Seether, Black Label Society, Gojira, Cheap Trick, Blackberry Smoke, Alter Bridge, Ministry, Skillet and Thrice. The lineup also features Slayer’s final Tennessee show.
Though deep into their careers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard and Guns N’ Roses all remain touring powerhouses. All three acts appeared on the 2018 edition of Pollstar‘s Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart, with Lynyrd Skynyrd ranking No. 64 ($27.2 million grossed), Guns N’ Roses ranking No. 16 ($82.4 million) and Def Leppard, via a co-headlining tour with Journey, ranking No. 12 ($97.8 million). Guns N’ Roses and Def Leppard also secured spots on the chart in 2016 and 2017.
On top of music, Exit 111 will offer several other attractions: the first annual Exit 111 car show, Red Bull motocross demonstrations, a “mega sports bar” airing games throughout the weekend and Paranormal Cirque, “an R-rated crazy yet fun fusion between circus, theatre and cabaret in perfect harmony with the evolution of a show that brings you back to when we dream… and when we had nightmares and fantasies.”
Exit 111 also united with Seether frontman Shaun Morgan’s Rise Above charity, naming one of the festival stages after it and committing to donate $1 from every ticket sold to Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE).
Exit 111 isn’t the only new festival AC Entertainment will launch in 2019. In February, the promoter unveiled Railbird, a two-day festival slated for Aug. 10-11 in Keeneland, Ky. The Raconteurs, Hozier, Brandi Carlile and Tyler Childers will headline the inaugural edition, which will also include Gary Clark Jr., Old Crow Medicine Show, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Lucinda Williams and Mavis Staples.
Three-day passes for Exit 111 begin at $189 and, following a presale, go on sale April 25 at 12 p.m. ET. Find the full lineup below.
