Frank Fieber – Koffee
Reggae singer, rapper and guitarist Koffee is having a big year, from releasing her debut EP to this week’s news that she’s signed with CAA in North America and South America.
The 19-year-old artist, who hails from Kingston, Jamaica, released her EP, Rapture, in March and it has since racked up more than 20 million streams on Spotify.
A review from Pitchfork declares, “The young Jamaican singer shows off her versatility on her debut EP, slipping between rapid-fire ragga grit and conscious reggae styles, and maintaining an unwavering focus on memorable melodic hooks.”
Her single, “Toast” was included in Jordan Peele’s horror film Us and the official YouTube video for the tune has been viewed more than 36.6 million times.
She has a summer filled with European festival appearances, followed by an Aug. 4 spot at Osheaga Festival in Montreal. In October she’ll take the stage at Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Today’s announcement from CAA notes that Koffee will continue to be managed by Tammi Chang and Pierre Bost. As for her label, she’s signed to RCA in the U.S. and Columbia Records in the U.K.
