SBL To Exclusively Book Sacramento Crest Theatre

Sacramento-based SBL Entertainment has entered into a long-term agreement to manage and operate the 975-capacity Crest Theatre in Sacramento, Calif., effective Nov. 1.
“Crest has always been a special place for us,” said SBL owner and chief talent buyer Scott Brill-Lehn. “The staff and owners have been one of our primary venue partners in Sacramento region for over seven years now, so when this opportunity came up, it seemed like the perfect fit to move forward together.”
Says SBL partner Elliot Prestwich, “We are excited to bring on Robert Alvis as our general manager of operations. His years of experience in promoting and operating venues in Sacramento will be invaluable in this new endeavor.”
Other venues booked by SBL Entertainment in the Sacramento area include The Sofia (exclusive) and Harris Center for The Arts in Folsom. Additionally, SBL will continue to promote in venues up and down California as well as Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
SBL says it has produced more than 600 shows, formed in 2009 by Brill-Lehn, with more than $10 million in ticket sales since forming.
Recent boxoffice reports submitted from Crest promoted by SBL include Rodrigo y Gabriela (912 tickets, $73,818 grossed), and Dwight Yoakam, who played two nights last April grossing more than $150,000.
