Live Nation Unveils Augmented Reality Products For Music Midtown Festival
– Live Nation AR
Live Nation has unveiled augmented reality products with car manufacturer Hyundai the first to present AR products at the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta, where fans will be able to livestream the event in 3D.
“More than 90% of live music fans globally say brands can enhance the live experience, and augmented reality presents endless opportunities,” Live Nation EVP Global Partnerships & Content Distribution Kevin Chernett, said in a statement. “The ability to drive culture through creativity while also adding value to fans allows brands to elevate expectations at live music events.”
AR features at the C3 Presents-produced Music Midtown will include VIP access offering distinctive vantage points typically reserved for industry leaders, a “AR Fest Lens” feature allowing fans to point their phones at each stage to see which artists will be performing, as well as special activations and photo ops.
The announcement says the AR products will first be used at festivals. Live Nation’s festival portfolio includes other C3 events such as Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival, along with Governors Ball and many others.
Music Midtown takes place Sept. 14-15 at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, featuring Travis Scott, Panic! At The Disco, Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Vampire Weekend and many others.
