Amazon Music today announced that 10-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift will headline the Prime Day Concert, July 10. Also on the bill are Dua Lipa, SZA, and global superstar Becky G.
Actress Jane Lynch will host the show.
The concert will be streamed live and exclusively to Prime members on Prime Video at 9 p.m. ET (or 2 a.m. BST in the UK on July 11). Members of Amazon’s pay-for service, which is live in more than 200 countries, can also stream the event on demand the day after the concert for a limited time.
At the same time, Amazon’s streaming service Amazon Music is going to include select shows from each performance into its catalogue of songs.
In London, Amazon is hosting a Prime Day, July 10, which is headlined by Rita Ora. The gig takes place at Village Underground in London, the majority of tickets to the event are being reserved for Prime members, who can enter a ballot for a chance to win a pair.
There will also be a limited number of tickets at the door on the day available to everyone on a first come, first served basis.
There was no information available on the location of the main event in the U.S., or whether there will be tickets to go see the show in physical reality. Pollstar has sent a request for clarification to Amazon.
Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, said: “Prime Day brings members the best of both entertainment and shopping. To celebrate, we’ve curated a lineup across multiple genres with performances from artists our customers love. We’re looking forward to celebrating Prime Day with this can’t-miss, one-of-a-kind event.”
