Calling all friends of the devil – Dead & Company has unveiled details for its third annual Caribbean concert vacation, “Playing In The Sand,” scheduled Jan. 16-19. This time around the event will be hosted at Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico. 

The all-inclusive getaway, featuring three nights of performances from the band, is put on in partnership with CID Presents. 
As the name of the event implies, Dead & Company will play on the white, sandy beach, just feet away from the Caribbean Sea. 
Attendees will be treated to all-inclusive food and drink, 24-hour concierge service and shuttle service to and from the Cancun International Airport. The event boasts on-site activities including yoga, tequila tasting, bowling, and surfing, along with off-site adventures exploring the beauty and history of the area including Isla Mujeres, Chichen Itza, and Rio Secreto. 
Fans who have attended either of the previous edition of Playing In The Sand can take advantage of an exclusive 72-hour presale beginning July 12 at 1 p.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public July 15 at 1 p.m. E. Payment plans are available.

Dead & Company takes over Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, Dec. 2.
Dead & Company features Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir, along with John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge, and Fare Thee Well / RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. 
The band recently wrapped up a run of dates with two nights at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., July 5-6. Recent reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice include the band’s June 3-4 gigs at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl that sold 33,713 tickets and grossed more than $3.5 million and June 7-8 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., which sold 36,956 and grossed more than $2.8 million. 
Dead & Company’s 2018 tour grossed 46.3 million, ranking No. 19 on Pollstar’s Year End Top 200 North American Tours and No. 36 on the Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours.
