Tool announced a fall tour and the release of its long-awaited, fifth full-length album, Fear Inoculum, Friday (Aug. 30). The six-week trek launches with an appearance at Sacramento, Calif.’s Aftershock Festival Oct. 30.

The tour then hits markets including Denver, two dates at L.A.’s Staples Center, Houston, Indianapolis, Chicago Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia and more before winding down at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., November 25.

Maynard James Keenan and the band took to the road in May for shows in the Midwest and a quick trip to Europe, but hasn’t toured in earnest since 2017, when it notched sellouts at several stops including Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center (13,406 tickets sold; $1,148,740 gross); Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Minn. The hard rock band formed in 1990 and has four multi-platinum albums to its credit: Undertow (1993), Ænima(1996), Lateralus (2001) and 10,000 Days (2006). The band has won three Grammy Awards: Best Metal Performance (1998, “Ænima”), Best Metal Performance (2002, “Schism”) and Best Recording Package (2007, 10,000 Days).
