The Great Western: 432 Present Launches New One-Day Festival In Glasgow
432 Presents – The Hug and Pint
The vegan bar, eatery & music venue in Glasgow’s west end will host concerts during The Great Western festival
432 Presents announced a new music discovery and arts festival called The Great Western, that is going to premier in Glasgow, Scotland, Nov. 23.
The one-day event is going to take place across ten venues in Glasgow, including some of the city’s famed bars and clubs, like The Hug & Pint or Oran Mor, the beautiful Mackintosh Queen’s Cross Church, as well as community spaces like the Burnbank Bowling Club and The Glue Factory.
Confirmed artists include Songhoy Blues, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Cass McCombs, The Pastels, Sacred Paws, Free Love, Tom McGuire and the Brassholes, Warmduscher and many more.
The Great Western will also put a healthy dose of local Scottish talent on stage, including Lost Map Records rising stars Callum Easter and Molly Linen, as well as Heir of The Cursed, Rev Magnetic, Cara Rose, Scarlett Randle, Lizzie Reid, Chuchoter, Dlu, Bobby Kakouris, Caitlin Buchanan, Rory James, Nekkuro Hana, Russell Stewart, Freakwave and Home$lice.
More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
“As well as exceptional live music, The Great Western will also be working closely with local restaurants and bars in the area to offer attendees the chance to sample some of the finest food and drink on offer, with plenty of veggie, vegan and reasonably priced options available. And there will be a wide variety of community workshops on offer too, giving visitors the opportunity to try their hand at a new skill, or simply sharpen an old one,” the announcement by 432 Presents states.
Early bird tickets, which go on sale today, Sept. 5, are priced at £15 ($18.25). Full price day tickets will be available for £28 ($34) thereafter.
