Rolling Loud continues its expansion, with a decidedly Western lineup for the hip-hop megafest’s inaugural Hong Kong installment, featuring Migos, Wiz Khalifa, Playboi Carti, Ski Mask The Slump God and others Oct. 19-20 at Art Park in West Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Rounding out the lineup are Rolling Loud alum like Smokepurpp, Suicideboys and Lil Skies, and the event continues with the up and comers and local talent such as 3HO, GO$H, Young13DBaby and still others.
Rolling Loud co-founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif have been vocal about plans to expand and about others wanting to get in on the major hip-hop festival trend after their Miami-based event has exploded into a pop culture phenomenon.

“We’re seeing some competition from the big multi-genre festivals, and obviously there are and will be more and more corporate promoters putting together hip-hop festivals now that they see the success of ours,” Cherif said in May as part of Pollstar’s Impact 50 feature. “Whether it’s a big promoter or radio station, I think we’ll see some others.” Most notably, Goldenvoice announced (on the same day as the announce for Rolling Loud Bay Area), a new major hip-hop festival of its own in Las Vegas, topped by Kendrick Lamar,  Travis Scott, J. Cole and featuring many others.
Meanwhile, Rolling Loud’s New York lineup made a splash announcing major stars including Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Meek Mill, Wu-Tang Clan and Lil Uzi Vert among dozens for Oct. 12-13 at Citi Field in Queens.
More international expansion is planned with as many as 12 total Rolling Louds being possible and Australia already taking place in January. However, “That’s total,” Zingler said for an April Pollstar cover feature. “We’re not going to have more shows in the U.S. because our goal is to hit the four corners and have them separate enough to not conflict with each other, and still offer the experience to those who can’t go to every one.”
