Pet Shop Boys Announce Greatest Hits Live Tour

Dance pop icons Pet Shop Boys have announced their first greatest hits tour, dubbed “Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live,” which kicks off with seven arena dates in their home country UK.
The tour is named after the the duo’s new single Dreamland, which features Years & Years, and is the first new music by Pet Shop Boys since their ‘Agenda’ EP, released in February, and the first piece of new music to be released from their forthcoming, and yet untitled, studio album, set for release in January 2020.
“Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live” kicks off Thursday, May 28, at London’s O2. It will stop at Manchester Arena (May 29), Resorts World Arena Birmingham (May 30), BIC Arena Bournemouth (June 2), Motorpoint Arena Cardiff (June 3), Utilita Arena Newcastle (June 5), and the SSE Hydro in Glasgow (June 6).
The tour is promoted by AEG Presents. Tickets go on sale Friday.
The only opportunity to see the band live in the UK this year will present itself on Sept. 15, when Pet Shop Boys will headline the BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park concert in London.
The band’s last tour was called “Super” in support of its eponymous 2016 album. The tour visited most of the world, including some of the UK venues, PSB is scheduled to return to on “Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live”.
Pollstar‘s box office reports show that during Pet Shop Boys’ last visit to Manchester, Feb. 19, 2017, the band grossed $468,230 with 8,775 tickets sold at Machester Arena.
On its last visit to Birmingham, Feb. 24, 2017, the band performed at the city’s other big arena besides Resorts World Arena, the Arena Birmingham, where it grossed $338,027 with 6,123 tickets sold.
