Heads up FKP Scorpio’s new office in Poland
Pan-european concert promoter FKP Scorpio announced the opening of a new office in the Polish capital of Warsaw.
FKP Scorpio Poland, which officially began operating on Aug. 1, is headed by Filip Potocki. Potocki was born in Warsaw and has been managing director of Austrian promoter Arcadia Live since 2015.
Joining Potocki in Poland are Jan Brzoza (administration, marketing and ticketing), and Krysztof Czarniakowski (project management and ticketing).
“We plan to develop the company with a long-term view and in a sustainable way. For us it is important to get detailed knowledge of the conditions of the Polish market and to supplement the varied cultural and concert landscape of the country with our offer,” Potocki explained, adding, “personally, I am very much looking forward to this challenge in the country where I was born.”
Founded in 1990, FKP Scorpio is now one of the largest companies in the live music business in Europe. In addition to Norway, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, UK and Germany, headquartered in Hamburg, Poland will become the ninth office of FKP.
Said FKP CEO Folkert Koopmans: “I’ve been following the development of the Polish live music market for a long time and see great potential there. We had first experiences in 2018 with the Ed Sheeran concert in the fantastic atmosphere of the PGE Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.”
The first concert organized by FKP Scorpio Poland will be Duncan Laurence, the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest winner, on Nov. 25 at Proxima in Warsaw.
