System Of A Down, Green Day, Volbeat To Headline Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park Anniversary Editions
Live Nation announced the first artists to perform at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany next year, June 5-7, when both festivals will celebrate huge anniversaries.
Rock Am Ring turns 35, while Rock Im Park will celebrate its 25th edition in 2020. U.S. alternative metal icons System Of A Down, punk veterans Green Day, who will perform songs from their first new album in six years, as well as Danish metal sensation Volbeat have been confirmed as headliners.
More rock heavyweights have already joined the bill, including Billy Talent, Broilers, Korn, Disturbed, Deftones, The Offspring, Heaven Shall Burn, Powerwolf, Of Mice & Men, Motionless In White and August Burns Red.
Trailerpark, Weezer, Bilderbuch, Wanda, Alan Walker, Trettmann, Yungblud and Bosse will make sure that fans of other genres, including urban, indie and electronic, will have something to celebrate, as well.

Both festivals share the same lineup each year
At €199, early bird tickets are priced the same for both Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, including camping and parking. Visitors of Rock am Ring have the option of excluding camping/parking and save €50.
According to Live Nation, which promotes the festival in cooperation with Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur, a CTS Eventim company, early bird tickets are almost sold out.
The next price category will be €224, including camping and parking. Both festivals offer various high-end camping and VIP experiences, too.
Both Rock am Ring and Rock im Park experienced miserable weather and even a terror warning between 2015 and 2017, leading to a loss in visitors in 2018. This year, both festivals sold more than 150,000 tickets together, contributing to what Andre Lieberberg, president and MD of Live Nation GSA, described as the company’s best festival season yet.
