Jo Koy Expands ‘Just Kidding World Tour’

Citing “overwhelming demand,” comedian Jo Koy is giving the people what they want by adding 28 cities to his “Just Kidding World Tour.” 

Life has been good for Koy lately, from winning the prestigious “Stand-Up Comedian Of The Year” award at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2018 to hitting No. 1 on the Billboard charts this year with his stand-up comedy album Jo Koy. In June he released his highly fourth comedy special, “Coming In Hot,” available now on Netflix. And then, of course, there’s his weekly podcast “The Koy Pond with Jo Koy.” 
Recent reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice report for 2019 include an April 27 show at the Mystic Showroom in Prior Lake, Minn., that sold 1,935 tickets and grossed $96,446. 
Koy is in currently in the middle of the first leg of his “Just Kidding World Tour,” featuring all new material. Tonight he plays the second of five shows at the San Diego Civic Theatre. 
The new stops include gigs in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and North America, with dates scheduled from early December to mid-May. An announcement promises another North American leg will be added. 
Tickets went on sale Friday, Sept. 27. Don’t wait to get your tickets – Koy’s representatives say his presales have been “crushing,” with 9,200 tickets already sold for his Feb. 22 show at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and more than 11,600 sold for his Feb. 15 show at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
