If you were made for loving Tori Kelly, then you will be delighted to know that the songstress is hitting the road for the opening months of 2020, with Audrey MiKa opening all dates.
After the August release of her latest album, Inspired By True Events, Kelly is headed to theaters throughout North America in late January and through February, then crosses the pond to Europe and the U.K. in March. The full routing can be found below.
Presales for her fan club and Citi cardholders begin Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. local time. The general onsale begins Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
After an acoustic run in 2019, Kelly is bringing the full band to perform the new stuff in 2020. “Playing these songs live is a reminder that everyone goes through these sorts of things, and we all need to know that we’re not alone,” Kelly said in a statement. “If I were to put out an album that didn’t talk about these personal stories, I would just be faking it and hiding from the truth. It turns out that the uncomfortable place was the most honest and true. It was right where I needed to be, and from there I could tell my story.”
Kelly reported multiple grosses above $90,000 this year: at House Of Blues Boston April 2 ($95,609); Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., ($95,380); and Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles ($92,920).
Kelly’s last album, Hiding Place, was produced by gospel legend Kirk Franklin and touched on religious themes, but she has previously avoided the categorization of “Christian Music.”  She won 2019 Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album (for Hiding Place) and Best Gospel Performance (for “Never Alone”) and was nominated for Best New Artist.
Her “Hiding Place Tour” in 2018 was staged in historic churches throughout the U.S.
Kelly is managed by Scooter Braun, who made headlines earlier this year when his company Ithaca Holdings acquired Big Machine Label Group, and with it Taylor Swift’s complete back catalogue.
