Ask The Legends At Production Live! 2020

Turn up the house lights – Pollstar just unveiled panel topics for Production Live! 2020, including the return of “OK What Do You Want To Know: Ask The Legends.”

Scheduled Feb. 4, Production Live! is the one-day precursor to the Feb. 5-6 Pollstar Live! conference, with both events taking place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Production Live! is dedicated to the production side of the industry, with panels on technologically-enhanced live events, maximizing rehearsals, the latest technology in sound, lights and video, and more. Programming at the 2019 edition was led by production legend Jake Berry, who has worked on tours for U2, the Rolling Stones, Beyoncé and Mötley Crüe, to name a few.
Here’s what’s on the schedule for Production Live! 2020 so far:
Emerging Markets: Can We (And Should We) Get There From Here?
Among the considerations are cultural differences, logistics, geo-political climate, production capabilities, and whether the show is a one-off or destined to be a regular port-of-call. Production Live will examine this topic from all angles from experienced producers and world travelers.
It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time: How To Build The Perfect Festival and Not Get Fyre’d
A panel of experienced festival production veterans will discuss what must be considered when planning a festival, and how to make sure a festival comes off seamlessly from a production standpoint.
OK What Do You Want To Know 2: Ask The Legends
It’s baaack! One of the most popular sessions in the history of Production Live is returning, as legends of the live concert production industry take on ANY question from the audience. Come for the information, stay for the war stories!
Earlier this month Pollstar announced that C3 Presents co-founders Charles Attal, Charlie Jones and Charlie Walker are confirmed to take part in a Q&A at Pollstar Live! Ray Waddell, president of Oak View Group Media & Conferences, will moderate the discussion dubbed “The Rule Of Three: How C3’s Three Cs Changed The Way We Present Live Music.”
Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp will also speak at Pollstar Live! in a candid discussion with Waddell, entitled “Scott Stapp: Back In The Game.”

After being in downtown Los Angeles in recent years, Pollstar Live! relocated to the Beverly Hilton in 2019 and was attended by more than 2,000 music industry stakeholders, surpassing 2018’s record-setting year. The 2018 conference marked the first under Pollstar’s parent company, Oak View Group.
The annual conference features a variety of panels, keynotes and networking opportunities with the live music industry’s most influential and visionary promoters, producers, agents, managers, entrepreneurs and venue operators, as well as leaders in other sectors aligned with and impacting the touring business.
Registration is now open, with options including Production Live! only, Pollstar Live! only, or the Production Live + Pollstar Live! Combo. The Pollstar Live! registration as well as the combo registration include access to the Opening Night Reception Feb. 4 and a ticket to the 2020 Pollstar Awards Feb. 6.
