VenuWorks Taps Terry Torkildson For Thief River Falls

VenuWorks has named Terry Torkildson as executive director in Thief River Falls, Minn., where the venue operator recently entered into an agreement with the city to manage the Ralph Engelstad Arena, Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center, Thief River Falls Tourist Park and MEC Center.

“We are fortunate to welcome Terry to the VenuWorks team,” VenuWorks President Steve Peters said in a statement. “Terry brings the experience and expertise needed to lead the management team in Thief River Falls. He will be an asset to VenuWorks, the local facilities, and the community of Thief River Falls.”
 Torkildson brings 25 years of industry experience, with his most recent role being as general manager of a multi-venue complex in Sioux Falls, S.D.  that includes the Denny Sanford Premier Center, which opened under his direction in 2014.
“The first time I saw the Ralph Engelstad Arena and the City’s other properties, I knew Thief River Falls was a community that took great pride in its public facilities. I look forward to working with VenuWorks to build upon the foundation created by the people of Thief River Falls,” Torkildson said in a statement.
Torkildson officially starts his new position with VenuWorks in Thief River Falls today.
