After four weeks rising in the ranks on LIVE75, the Jonas Brothers jump from second to first on the chart based on ticket sales from 11 concerts in October. The shows occurred Oct. 5-20 on the current fall leg of the trio’s “Happiness Begins” tour that kicked off in the summer. With sold out shows at nine arenas – primarily on the West Coast – and a two-night amphitheater date at the Hollywood Bowl, the JoBros logged a 14,727-sold ticket average to overtake last week’s top touring artist, Carrie Underwood, by 150 seats. Since the Aug. 7 launch of the tour in North America, the group has drawn 685,325 fans to 47 performances for a total box office take of $74.4 million.
The HOT SHOT artist of the week is Latin trap star Bad Bunny with a chart debut at No. 4 from ticket sales at five arenas – two in Mexico and three in the U.S. The Puerto Rico native’s “X 100Pre Tour” included sold-out October performances in Monterrey and Mexico City, followed by shows in Boston; Bridgeport, Conn.; and Newark, N.J. Revenue from the five events totaled $4.2 million in box office earnings and a total ticket count of 65,201 for an average of 13,040 per show.
Madonna is the chart’s NOISE MAKER after a 14-position leap to No. 30 as a result of her seven-night engagement at the Chicago Theatre, the second venue booked on her “Madame X Tour.” The veteran entertainer racked up a $5.5 million gross in the Windy City from sold tickets numbering 23,233. With sellouts logged all seven nights, the per show average during the two-week October run totaled 3,319.
