Drew Holcomb’s artist-curated fest Moon River Music Festival is returning in 2020 with a lineup featuring Sheryl Crow, Nickel Creek, Dawes and recent Pollstar cover artist Yola and recent Hotstar Billy Strings.

The event takes place Sept. 12-13 in Chattanooga, Tenn., on the banks of the Tennessee River.
Naturally, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors will take the stage. The lineup also features Ben Rector, Indigo Girls, Robert Earl Keen, Shovels & Rope, The Jayhawks, Coin, Colony House, Molly Tuttle and more.
Holcomb spoke to Pollstar last year about his vision for the festival, which he started in 2014 in his hometown of Memphis. In 2018 Moon River relocated to Chattanooga, Tenn., with new partner AC Entertainment. In its first year in the new location, it quickly sold out and earned a Pollstar Awards nomination for Best Festival Under 30,000 Capacity, alongside such notable entries as Newport Folk Festival, Hangout Music Festival, Desert Daze, Forecastle (also produced by AC Entertainment) and Ohana Fest.
“There’s a couple of things that were really important to me. One was that I wanted to stay involved in curation of the lineup and thankfully AC has been great about that,” Holcomb told Pollstar. “There’s a lot of personal connection to the lineup as far as the family reunion aspect goes, for me. Every band, every act on the lineup, is one I really love. Even if I don’t know them personally, I’m a big fan of their music.”
Tickets are on sale now, with Weekend GA passes priced at $150 and VIP passes available for $450.
VIP weekend passes include tickets and premium seats for Moon River’s pre-party at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium Sept. 11, with “Live From Here with Chris Thile” taking center stage. The variety show features musical perforamnces, comedy and audience interaction. GA Moon River ticketholders will receive an exclusive presale code to purchase tickets to the pre-party starting Feb 19 at 10 a.m., followed by the general onsale Feb. 21.
