Breakaway Music Festival Expands To Six Cities, Adding D.C., San Diego
–
Breakaway Music Festival will hit six cities in 2020, with the Columbus-based multi-event festival property hitting new markets in Washington, D.C., and San Diego.
“Our mission has always been to provide real fans with a true music festival experience, at a price they can actually afford,” said Adam Lynn, Breakaway and Prime Social Group co-founder along with Zach Ruben who met in college and have been expanding rapidly as a multi-city festival producer. “We’re thrilled to bring Breakaway back for 2020 and even more so to expand our presence into the San Diego and Washington D.C. markets. Stay tuned for lineups and programming in the next couple of months.”
Locations for Breakaway festivals are chosen based on emerging U.S. markets in need of their own flagship events at affordable prices. This year, Breakaway will return to Columbus, OH (8/28 – 8/29), Grand Rapids, MI (8/28 – 8/29), Charlotte, NC (9/11 – 9/12), and Nashville, TN (10/9 – 10/10). With further national expansion in mind the brand will debut this year in Washington D.C. (9/25-9/26), and San Diego, CA (11/13-11/14).
Breakaway has also announced their partnership with renowned global clubbing and hospitality leader Drai’s Las Vegas on an elevated Breakaway VIP experience across all festival locations. The experience will provide the same attention to the VIP guest experience that it does at its premiere Beachclub and Nightclubs in Las Vegas and Dubai.

Lynn was named in Pollstar’s inaugural NextGen list honoring the next generation of the concert business. He noted that Breakaway Music Festival, which has booked up and comers like Kendrick Lamar, Lil Pump and many others over the years, has grown 20% or more in attendance every year.
“It’s a major feat to have one successful festival, I am so proud of how we’ve been able to scale to many successful festivals,” Lynn says.
