Alesso, Alison Wonderland, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, and Tiësto top the bill for the tenth incarnation of EDC Las Vegas, put on by dance promoter extraordinaire Insomniac.
The event is returning to Las Vegas Motor Speedway May 15-17.
“In the 10 years since Las Vegas welcomed EDC with open arms, the city has become a second home to me, my family, and many members of our Insomniac team,” Insomniac Founder & CEO Pasquale Rotella said in a statement. “EDC Las Vegas 2020 is the culmination of a decade’s worth of imagination and collaboration, and we wanted to celebrate those achievements with a lineup that represents the musical diversity of this amazing culture. I’m humbled by the milestone and grateful to the community, both local and global, that has supported the growth of EDC.”

Other special acts on the bill include 2 = 1 (W&W and Timmy Trumpet), SayMyName and 12th Planet, and Pendulum Trinity. Tickets are on sale now. The stages will be kineticFIELD, cosmicMEADOW, circuitGROUNDS, bassPOD, neonGARDEN, wasteland, quantumVALLEY, stereoBLOOM, and skyLAB. Notably, former Insomniac competitor and now collaborator HARD Events will be taking over the cosmicMEADOW stage.
Meagan DesChenes, director of HARD Events, talked to Pollstar about working with Insomniac (HARD was absorbed by Insomniac after the latter reached a creative partnership deal with Live Nation in 2013), saying: “Having a great team at Insomniac really helped my vision come to life. I went from having four people [when we were just HARD] to probably having close to 100 people that work at Insomniac.”
Pasquale Rotella was named to Pollstar’s inaugural Impact 50 list last year, and said he is constantly learning from electronic music fans and artists on how to better do his job: “This community is very vocal and they aren’t afraid to speak their minds when there’s something wrong.”
“I learn the most from them, and I still learn from them today.”
Insomniac is a major player in the EDM space. It acquired 50 percent of Netherlands-based promotion and production company ALDA in 2018. Its other festival properties include EDC events around the world and Audiotistic in the Bay Area.
Insomniac finally settled the long-lingering dispute with Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission over accusations of bribery and paying outside of legal means in 2017.
