The Black Keys Extend ‘Let’s Rock’ Through Summer With Openers Gary Clark Jr., Yola And More

The newest leg of the “Let’s Rock” tour launches July 7 at White River Amphitheatre in the Seattle market and includes stops in Dallas, Boston, New York, Tamp and Jacksonville, Fla., among other cities. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. local time through theband’s website. Citi members will have access to a presale beginning Tuesday, Feb 25 at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday Feb. 28 through Citi Entertainment.

The Black Keys’ ninth studio album, Let’s Rock, was released on June 28 through Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound/Nonesuch Records. The 2020 dates are the latest extension of the “Let’s Rock” tour that marked Auerbach and bandmate Patrick Carney’s first outing since 2014. To date, the tour has averaged 8,909 tickets sold and a gross of $901,806 as reported to Pollstar.

“When we’re together we are The Black Keys, that’s where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen,” Auerbach says in a statement. Let’s Rock has received critical praise, with Paste saying, “If you want something you can crank up at backyard barbecues or in the car with the windows down, well, The Black Keys have two words for you, and they’re in the album title.”

In addition, openers Gary Clark Jr. and Yola have won their share of acclaim, with multiple Grammy Award nominations between them and Clark winning for Rock Song and Rock Performance for “This Land.”

Yola was recently featured as a Pollstar cover artist, and has had a year of buzz with a Best New Artist nomination and an album, Walk Through Fire, produced by Auerbach. It was recently announced she will make her film debut as Sister Rosetta Tharpe in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming “Elvis.”
