A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert Top Three-City JMBLYA Festival
– JMBLYA 2020
Texas’ multi-city JMBLYA festival has announced it will take in Dallas, Austin and Houston May 1-3 this year, with lineups featuring A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Lil Tecca, Don Toliver, Lil TJay and others.
Other artists on this year’s fest, produced by Live Nation subsidiary ScoreMore Shows, include bbno$, Kaash Paige, Delly, Doeman (Houston only), Joaqu.n (Austin only) and Gwapmizzle (Dallas only).
Produced by Live Nation partner ScoreMore Shows, JMBLYA will take in Fair Park in Dallas May 1, Circuit of The Americas racetrack in Austin May 2 and, after a hiatus in 2018 returns to Houston for 2020 at the University of Houston’s TDECU Stadium Parking lot.
Tickets are on sale now, starting at $89 for general admission and $189 VIP. Last year’s Dallas and Austin events were topped by Travis Scott, Lil Wayne and Kevin Gates.
Each stop of the 2020 festival will feature a different nonprofit partner, with the Dallas stop being House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, the Austin fest partner being Grounded in Music and, for Houston, Addi’s Faith Foundation.
In May 2018 it was announced Live Nation had acquired a majority stake in Austin-based ScoreMore Shows, which produces JMBLYA, Mala Luna and Neon Desert festivals as well as hundreds of hip-hop concerts per year.
Co-founded by Sascha Stone Guttfreund and Claire Bogle in 2010, the company has become known as a tastemaker, especially in the hip-hop space, booking now-stars like J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar before they were arena headliners.
“Our style was different. We took really good care of the artists,” Guttfreund told Pollstar previously. “It was all about hospitality and we made sure they had a great experience. The artists also appreciated we were really passionate about the music.”
