Earth Day Invites Artists To Participate In 72-Hour Streaming Event
https://www.facebook.com/EarthDayNetwork/ – Earth Day Network
As the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day approaches on April 22, organizers have opened a call for artists to participate in a livestream event commemorating the occasion.
Earth Day Live will be held over 72 hours from April 22-24 and will be free to view.
There was going to be a major concert on the Great Mall in Washington, D.C., this year, but because the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented large-scale gatherings, the star-studded lineup for this event was never announced.
Any artists looking to participate in the livestream can reach out to [email protected] or [email protected].
Earth Day has long been an occasion for massive music events since 1990, when a rally was held on the Capitol in Washington, D.C. and a concert was held at Merriweather Post Pavilion featuring Michael Stipe and Peter Buck, 10,000 Maniacs, Ziggy Marley and Billy Bragg.
