Skyline Artists Agency has acquired Strategic Touring, with founder Mike Kaiz joining the company as an agent and bringing a roster that includes Henhouse Prowlers, Upstate, Armchair Boogie, Kind Country, and Jeremy Garrett.

Kaiz launched Strategic Touring in 2018 after working at Blue Sun Entertainment agency in Portland, Ore. He and Skyline Nashville agent James Leslie have recently signed Grammy nominee Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen.

The acquisition is part of an expansion of Skyline’s contemporary artist division led by Mark Lourie, who has been promoted to VP of Contemporary. The division includes argonaut & wasp, Darlingside, Freddy Jones Band, Gangstagrass, Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads, We Banjo 3, Zoe Keating and more. Altogether the boutique agency represents more than 60 clients, with offices in Nashville, Los Angeles and six other cities.
“Mike has excellent musical taste and the work ethic required to develop new artists, particularly in these challenging times,” Lourie said in a statement.
Kaiz added, “I’m proud to join a team with Skyline’s passion and experience.”

Earlier this year Skyline expanded its Arts division by adding agent Ben Rossman and promoting Andrea Sabata to VP of Performing Arts. The agency’s Nashville office also added Laura Schneider as head of Artist Relations and Sean Quinn as Tour Coordinator.
